Indian yoghurt curry (Gujarati Kadhi)

Ingredients
  • 2 cup Yoghurt
  • 2 tablespoon Gram flour ( besan)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tablespoon tumeric
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 1 whole Green chilli
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 stalk Cinnamon
  • 4 whole Black pepper
  • 3 whole curry leaves
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 Seasonings :
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek and mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Hing
  • 3 whole Dried chilli
  • 4 whole Curry leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Oil

Preparation Method

1. In a pan, pour the yoghurt and gram flour. Add water and mix well. Turn on medium heat. Make sure there is no lumps.

2. Add tumeric, cloves, green chilli , ginger paste, cinnamon and black pepper.

3. Add curry leaves and salt. Let it boil.

4. For seasoning, add 1 tablespoon of oil in the pan. Add cumin, fenugreek and mustard seeds. Let the seeds splatter. Add hing ,dried chilli and curry leaves.

5. Add the seasoning to curry mixture. Can serve with rice.
